FGM/CReview is a Knowledge Management Project developed under the auspices of the Research Group on Female Harmful Practices (RGFHP) of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the University of Zaragoza (Spain). The content of this webpage is managed by Mr. Guillermo Martínez Pérez, MA History, MSc Telemedicine, BS Podiatry and BS Nurse, and, since 2012, member of the RGFHP.
FGM/CReview aims at collecting and organizing all the information published on Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting. The goal of FGM/CReview is to help improving and increasing the knowledge on all types of FGM/C by making accessible all grey literature and evidence based knowledge to researchers, investigators, managers, policy makers, health workers and other actors involved in the research, study and treatment of Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting.
Furthermore, FGM/CReview in framed in the preparation of a PhD Thesis Dissertation on the health implications of the practice of labia minora elongation. In order to help the readers to get more familiar with this female genital practice, all the entries that relate to labial elongation include the image displayed at the side of this text. When clicked, all the documents which refer to this practice are shown.
